Comfy, casual and chic are probably the best words to describe our style inclination. So with Sports Luxe now a bonafide trend, we couldn't be more pleased. Mixing functionaility and sophistication, looking fashionable has never been more comfortable. With the backing of designers like Alexander Wang, the boundary between sports and high-end fashion is blurrier than ever. Lightweight materials and contrasting textures are taking the catwalks (and our wardrobes) by storm. Think neoprene and lycra in Bomber jackets, leggings, upscale sweatshirts and stylish sneakers. Sportswear has undergone the ultimate upgrade from black list to 'it' list.

The bomber jacket has emerged as the most coveted piece for the Sports Luxe look. It's the new trench, only less sleek and more relaxed, making it ideal for layering and our outerwear of choice. Our lightweight jacket is a more muted and introverted take on the classic. The drawn in waistbands on bomber jackets create the oversized silhouette characteristic of the trend. Pair this staple outwear with tailored bottoms to balance out the volume and take your look from gymwear to streetwear.

Don't be afraid to play around with hues and prints. This lightweight, terracotta bomber is a refreshing change from the darker options dominating the shelves, adding a much needed kick of colour.
 

Footwear choice is essential to styling Sports Luxe. The good ol' sneaker will do the trick, but if you want to take it a step further, grab a pair of this season's most coveted shoe- the slip on. This lazy footwear comes in an array of shades and prints (we've got our eyes on a leopard print pair!), but for one that will serve almost all your outfits well, go with a pair of black (faux!) snake skin sliders.

 

This trend champions minimalism, so accessories should be kept simple. To put the cool in your outfit, it's almost mandatory to throw on a pair of sunnies. Reflective lenses have been given the big Sports Luxe tick of approval, but if your'e looking for a more tamed option, slip on some classic aviators.
